RENEW

EDUCATION AND HEALING

WHERE TRAUMA HEALING BEGINS

ABOUT LORAN

Hi there, my name is Loran Wallace - a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) and the founder of Renew Education and Healing in Scottsdale, Arizona. I specialize in helping adults heal trauma, rebuild their sense of self-worth, and develop the confidence to create healthier relationships. My approach blends compassionate care with clear accountability to support meaningful and lasting change.

In my work, I prioritize emotional safety, education, and connection. Many of my clients are navigating anxiety, depression, complex PTSD, relationship issues, or the lasting effects of childhood emotional neglect. I'm particularly passionate about helping people make sense of their past and feel more grounded in who they are today.

My therapeutic style draws from evidence-based and experiential methods, including EMDR, Parts Work, Post Induction Therapy (PIT), Inner Child Healing, Accelerated Resolution Therapy (ART), CBT, and DBT. I'm an EMDR Certified Therapist and AZBBHE-Approved Clinical Supervisor, and I bring years of experience from both inpatient and outpatient settings.

I hold a Bachelor's degree in Psychology from Texas State University and a Master's in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Northern Arizona University. Ongoing training and clinical development are a priority in my practice so that the care you receive is both informed and effective.

ABOUT MEGHAN

Hi! My name is Meghan Hamel, and I am a Licensed Master of Social Work (LMSW) in Scottsdale, Arizona. I am passionate about connecting with young people to help them navigate challenges that arise during normal development, reduce performance-related pressures, build healthy relationships, and establish emotional safety.

I specialize in working with preteens, teens, young adults, and athletes as they navigate symptoms of trauma, including anxiety, depression, eating disorders, body dysmorphia, risky behavior, substance abuse, perfectionism, and self-injurious behaviors. Modalities I utilize include EMDR, CBT, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), DBT, Internal Family Systems (IFS), and Inner Child Healing. My clinical experience comes from both inpatient and outpatient settings.

You can expect therapy with me to begin where you are. I practice from a relational framework that is honest, compassionate, and trauma-informed. Sessions offer a supportive space to process lived experiences and hopes for the future while incorporating psychoeducation and skill-building to empower clients to manage overwhelm, reduce stress, and move forward with greater confidence and understanding. Parents of preteen and teenage clients can expect to be involved, when appropriate, to collaborate with me as part of the treatment process.

I earned my bachelor's from the University of Puget Sound, where I majored in Business Administration and History. Realizing that Business is not my passion, I explored various avenues before finding my passion for mental health. I attained my Master's in Social Work from Arizona State University. I regularly pursue ongoing professional training to ensure I am using the most appropriate, evidence-based approaches to support each client's individual needs.
