Drama Triangle and Distorted Anger

Anybody can become angry - that is easy, but to be angry with the right person, to the right degree, at the right time, for the right purpose, and in the right way - that is not within everybody's power and is not easy.

Many of us struggle with varying degrees of drama, whether it is within our romantic relationships, friend groups, families of origin, or places of work. Sometimes this will feel like you are always taking care of others, leaving you feeling depleted. Sometimes you may feel powerless to someone else's offensive behaviors, feeling taken advantage of or wronged. At times, you may find yourself struggling with righteous anger and treating people in ways that you later regret.

If you find yourself exhausted by the relationships in your life, the Drama Triangle and Distorted Anger Workshop is for you. In this workshop, we will delve into the three positions on the drama triangle, identifying how we enter the triangle, costs and benefits of being on the triangle, and how this ultimately leads to chaos and drama with others. We will explore the topic of anger, identifying the various faces of distorted anger and how they keep is stuck in drama. Most importantly, we will explore how to get off the triangle and stay out of drama.

We recommend following this workshop up by taking the Boundaries and Communication Workshop to help support functional and healthy relationships with others.
