Trauma and Relational Wounding

Trauma creates change you don't choose. Healing is about creating change you do choose.

It is unlikely that any of us will walk through the entirety of our lives unscathed and unaffected by trauma. While the impacts of trauma and relational wounding impact so many people, it is less common that we talk about these experiences and process how they impact things like our sense of self, ability to trust, or how we view the world. My hope is that we can have the language to talk about something that touches so many people, and more importantly we can have tools to help our systems begin to heal.

In the Trauma and Relational Wounding workshop we will explore various definitions and types of trauma, with a specific focus on trauma experienced during developmental years. We will learn about the neuroscience of trauma, the impacts on the brain, and the consequences experienced in our nervous systems. Most importantly, we will discuss how to recognize signs of trauma, work we can engage in to experience trauma resolution, and how to begin caring for ourselves in a way that is compassionate and moves us towards healing.

Many of us have lived with the impacts of trauma, but we are each capable of healing our brains, nervous systems, and self-concepts. This workshop can be your first step in creating awareness and healing. â€‹â€‹â€‹
