Meet Your Therapist

I'm so glad you're here with me! My name is Loran Wallace, and I'm a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) and Certified EMDR Trauma Therapist practicing in Scottsdale, Arizona.



Whether you're looking for in-person therapy in Scottsdale or virtual counseling services across the state of Arizona, I'm here to help. I've been practicing in the mental health field for six years, and it's been an incredible journey. Before joining the private practice world in 2022, I worked in the inpatient setting at Meadows Behavioral Health, specializing in high-intensity trauma and addiction treatment. Now, I'm honored to help my own community heal and grow through individual, family, and couples therapy.



My Approach to Therapy

In therapy, I take a warm and compassionate approach while also emphasizing the importance of accountability. Building a strong therapeutic relationship based on trust and safety is essential to me, and I believe in having courageous conversations to help you move forward in life. I also incorporate humor into my practice because therapy can be tough, but it's okay to have some fun while we work through difficult emotions.

My clients often describe me as "authentic, honest, kind, and helpful." As a Certified EMDR Trauma Therapist, I specialize in trauma therapy and take a dual approach: working with both day-to-day coping skills and addressing the root causes of dysfunctional patterns. I utilize several trauma-focused therapy modalities like Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR), Accelerated Resolution Therapy (ART), Internal Family Systems (IFS), and Post Induction Therapy (PIT) to ensure a personalized approach. I also integrate traditional therapy approaches such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT), Mindfulness, Motivational Interviewing, and Experiential Therapy. My goal is to tailor our work to best meet your unique needs and help you achieve your personal goals.



Areas of Concern I Work With

I work with individuals from teens and adults, addressing a wide variety of mental health issues. I specialize in treating trauma, PTSD, anxiety, depression, dissociation, OCD, attachment issues, complex PTSD, and mood disorders. In addition, I help clients navigate issues related to self-esteem, intimacy, grief, perfectionism, failure to launch, life transitions, and relationship challenges. If you're facing any of these challenges, I'm here to help you find healing and create a path toward a healthier, more fulfilling life.



My Treatment Process

I offer a free consultation call to ensure we're a good fit to work together. During this 15-20 minute conversation, we'll discuss your goals and I'll answer any questions you might have about therapy or my approach. If we decide we're a good match, we'll schedule an Intake session. During the intake, we'll go over your paperwork and I'll gather important details about your life history and current struggles. I'll also work with you to identify your therapy goals, and from there , I'll develop a tailored treatment plan that focuses on the best ways to support you in achieving those goals.

My ultimate goal for you is to graduate from therapy, feeling equipped to handle life's challenges and able to create lasting change. Therapy isn't just about solving immediate problems; it's about creating long-term growth and building a meaningful life. I want to help you make sustainable changes that lead to greater fulfillment and reduce the emotional weight that may have been holding you back.
